Beta Nu Kappas have many occasions for socialization on campus. Every quarter brings in many social activities including Date Parties, Formals, Parent's Night, Greek Week, Homecoming, Football Block, and TG's. As sorority women social life is a great time for us to meet new people, Greeks and non-Greeks alike. Socials also strengthen our friendships within Kappa and allow us a break from classes and leadership responsibilities to have a fabulous time together! Read on to find out more about all our different social events.

Date Parties

Date Parties are usually held twice a year, in the fall and in the spring. The Ladies of Kappa bring dates and spend an amazing evening with each other and their dates at fantastic venues like this year's Fall Date Party at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Columbus

Formals

The Sapphire Ball is Kappa's formal dance that is held every year in the winter. It is an amazing night of music, dancing, and enjoyment that Kappas can experience with their dates and their sisters. It's our chance to dress to impress and take pleasure in each other's company and all the fun Kappa can provide for us.

Themed Gatherings (TG's)

TG is a term used in the greek community that stands for Themed Gathering. Themed gatherings usually are held on Thursday or Friday nights, and the ladies of Kappa are paired with a fraternity to celebrate the end of a long week of classes. These parties are such a blast because we get to dressed up for all different types of themes; 80s, Pirates, Toga, Hi-Lighter Parties, and more!

Homecoming Week

Homecoming Week is celebrated throughout the entire OSU community, and the Greeks are a big part of the celebration. There are parades, banner competitions, speakers, and many other festivities all leading up to the big Ohio State Homecoming Football game on Saturday. The ladies of Kappa are paired with several fraternities and enjoy a week of fall fun! It’s a great way to kick off the school year as members of the Greek community.

Greek Week

Greek Week is an annual event that all members of the Greek community participate in every Spring Quarter. It is an amazing week of parties, sporting competitions, philanthropy events, volunteer opportunities, variety shows and so much more. Kappas are paired with one or more fraternities to have a fun-filled week of friendly competition with the other sororities and fraternities. Not only do we get to have TG's and other parties throughout the week, volunteering is a very important part of Greek Week. The on-campus volunteer program "Rock the Block" is held during this week and all the Kappas head over to participate in a day of community service and are rewarded with a free concert at the end of Greek Week.

*Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Tau Delta, Sigma Phi Epsilon, and IOTA were Greek Week Champions this past 2005 Greek Week!*
